Born in 1946, in the city of Matão, when progress was just beginning in the interior of the state of São Paulo, two brothers from humble origins, descendants of Italian immigrants, foresaw that the future of the country lay in agriculture, given the vocation of its people and the vast expanses of fertile land spread across the national territory. They decided to dedicate themselves to the manufacture of agricultural implements and machinery, initially the simplest, such as animal-drawn carts and wagons.
From simple manufacturers of animal-drawn vehicles and implements, the Marchesan brothers began producing discs for harrows and plows, and later, modern agricultural implements and machinery designed for mechanical traction. Over the past decades, Brazilian agriculture has undergone significant transformations. Crops that were previously underexplored gained importance for the country. Vast areas of our territory, once used for coffee or livestock, were replaced by sugarcane, soybeans, or oranges, and new agricultural frontiers emerged.
The small workshop grew. Today, the city of Matão is home to one of the largest companies in the sector in Latin America. What no one could have imagined in 1946 became an undeniable reality.
With a highly specialized workforce, Marchesan S.A. had no difficulty in generating machinery and implements to meet the demands of an expanding and increasingly demanding market, offering highly efficient and durable products. As one of the largest and most modern manufacturers of agricultural machinery and implements in Latin America, Marchesan S.A., in addition to serving the domestic market, exports to more than 60 countries around the world. The company is situated on an area of 805,000 square meters, of which 220,000 square meters are covered.
