The Fergana branch of TATU named after Muhammad al-Khorazmi was established in Fergana in 2005 as a regional branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
A total of 105 professors work at the branch, including 22 candidates of science and 63 pedagogues without degrees and titles. Among the teachers, the names of professors of the department: associate professors D. Halilov, A. Abdukadirov and others are highly respected, and they provide students with deep knowledge.

Scientific research works
A plan for the development of scientific research works and training of scientific-pedagogical staff for 2010-2017 has been developed in the branch. Scientific research is being continued based on this plan. As a result of scientific research, 25 electronic developments, 29 electronic textbooks, 40 and more presentations, 15 stands for the virtual laboratory were prepared by professors and teachers. In addition, 4 State patents of Uzbekistan were obtained, 2 scientific monographs were written, more than 190 scientific articles and article abstracts were published. Most of the articles were published in scientific publications of foreign countries.
