TBI Warrior Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.
At TBI Warrior Foundation we work to improve the quality of life of veterans, civilians and children living with brain injury and their caregivers to help pave their path to success and independence. We seek to equip individuals with brain injuries, their families and caregivers to move forward in their futures through community integration, rehabilitation and vocational counseling, education, care and assistive device advocacy, and advancement programs.
In the words of our founder, himself a brain injury survivor and Purple Heart combat wounded veteran, SFC(Ret.) Victor L. Medina, MRC, CRC:
"The U.S. Declaration of Independence states “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”. It is clear that “all men” means ALL MEN AND WOMEN. Certainly, it does not exclude people with acquired disabilities after a TBI. Living with disabilities may cripple the ability to have the rights mentioned here. People with brain injuries have the right to life, the right to be free by regaining their independence, and they have the right to fulfill their dreams and pursue their happiness."
Our purpose is to guide and assist survivors and their families in their own paths to a successful, independent life after injury.
