TCP Global is a registered non-profit with a dual mission. We establish permanent loan pools to provide:
1) affordable loans to impoverished entrepreneurs in perpetuity and
2) a steady revenue stream for grassroots organizations working effectively to serve marginalized communities.
2024 was a record-breaking year, with $414,000 in new funds added to locally-managed loan
pools which supported 9,000 loans to 3,400 borrowers with a total value of $2.2 million. The
value of loans issued in 2024 was nearly five times the value of funds sent because borrowers maintained a 98.88% repayment rate, allowing funds sent in prior years to be reinvested as well.
Partners and VSLAs earned $313,000 and withdrew roughly half of those earnings to use in efforts that benefit their communities in a variety of ways. Once our borrowers are economically secure we consult with them on cost-effective ways to improve their communities with wells, water filters, latrines, etc.
