For a large part of the existing housing stock, (hybrid) heat pumps are an important first regret-free step of the renovation solution. In the Acceleration of the Sustainability of the Built Environment policy programme, the goal is to have one million (hybrid) heat pumps installed in existing buildings by 2030. For this, the pace has to be increased to more than 100,000 extra installations per year, or 500 extra per day. Installation companies have a key role in realizing this acceleration, together with manufacturers, wholesalers, customers, schools, governments and knowledge organisations. To do that, they have to do something fundamentally different. The consortium, comprising 9 leading dutch installation parties with more than 2 million customers, is joining forces to accelerate the installation rate of (hybrid) heat pumps by 500 per day within 3 years. With the solutions, knowledge and expertise gained, acceleration is also created in the rest of the installation sector.
