TEACH - Tutoring English to Advance Change

Tutoring English to Advance Change (TEACH), works toward systemic change in society by empowering English language learners to build their strengths and effective use of their voice through a unique integration of practical one-on-one English literacy education and individualized cultural mentoring and coaching. In addition, TEACH provides one-on-one tutoring for U.S. citizenship exam preparation. TEACH works to ensure inclusion of those typically excluded, under-represented or undervalued. TEACH reaches 40 communities in Western Cook, DuPage and Will Counties. Last year, TEACH’s 350 volunteers supported more than 625 students. TEACH offers individualized English literacy tutoring and cultural mentoring at sites in: DuPage County Western Cook County Addison (2) Brookfield (2) Bloomingdale Cicero (2) Downers Grove (2) Summit (2) Lombard Naperville (2) Will County Woodridge (serves both Bolingbrook (serves both DuPage & Will counties) Will & DuPage counties
