About TeachTheFuture Foundation
TeachTheFuture Foundation is an official nonprofit organization started in the summer of 2013 by Karthik Ravikumar, Kaushik Ravikumar, and Emil Irimpan. The mission of TeachTheFuture Foundation is to provide education to those in impoverished areas around the world by building them schools. Their first project was to build a high school in Kenya, Africa. TeachTheFuture Foundation believes that education is one of the most effective ways of reducing poverty and all other problems found in developing countries. In order to achieve the first goal of building a school in Kenya, TeachTheFuture Foundation held numerous, creative fundraisers. TeachTheFuture Foundation has also held fundraiser competitions at five local elementary schools. During these fundraisers, TeachTheFuture Foundation would give presentations to elementary school students, informing the students of the power of education and inspiring them to help others. TeachTheFuture Foundation has partnered with a multitude of businesses, nonprofits, and universities across the US. In late 2015, TeachTheFuture Foundation was able to partner with top DOTA players to run a chairty stream that reached more than 18 million viewers, raising $10,000 in the process. For their work, TeachTheFuture Foundation was featured in a popular bay-area magazine, Siliconeer, and a radio show, Hearts for Africa.
