We are a team of 25 passionate undergraduate engineering students from Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU), Mumbai, India. We design, manufacture and race fuel-efficient prototype vehicle for the annual Shell Eco-marathon (SEM) competition. This International competition is organized and held by Shell group of companies and aims towards challenging students to create the world's most fuel-efficient vehicles. The Shell Eco-marathon is held around the world with events in Europe, America and Asia. We, Team ETA, represent India at Shell Eco-Marathon, Asia.
We currently hold the record from India for the most fuel-efficient prototype vehicle (Internal Combustion Engine) which has a recorded mileage of 268.7 kmpl at Shell Eco-marathon, India 2019 held in Bangalore. We were the winners at an international level in one of the challenges and were amongst the Top 5 in another in a virtual competition organized by Shell in 2020.
Our motto is to achieve 1000 kmpl on gasoline someday in future!
