Team Gray Matter is a non-profit, independent team competing in Cybathlon 2016, the World's first Championships for Robotic and Technology assisted “parathletes”, participating in the first ever Brain Computer Interface (BCI) Race at Kolping Arena, Zurich, Switzerland. The team's race “Pilot”, Peter Gray of Doncaster, England, has been paralysed from the neck down since suffering severe spinal trauma from a freak accident whilst on holiday overseas in 2008. In October 2016 he will race against “Pilots” from University teams and Research Institutions from around the World using only his brain signals in order to become the World's first Cybathlon BCI Race Champion.
