Team Ignition

Team Ignition is a student-led rocketry team from Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai, dedicated to the design, development, and launch of high-power model rockets and experimental payload systems. The team brings together students from multiple engineering disciplines to work on real-world aerospace challenges through a systems-engineering approach. With active participation in national and international rocketry competitions, Team Ignition focuses on building a strong foundation in propulsion, avionics, recovery, and structural subsystems. Each project is designed and executed with a strong emphasis on technical accuracy, safety compliance, and hands-on innovation. The long-term mission is to contribute meaningfully to student-led rocketry in India, steadily advancing capabilities with the goal of reaching new frontiers in experimental rocketry and beyond. Through rigorous engineering practices, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, the team continues to push the boundaries of what is possible at the university level.
