A few years back, Pilote Media, a sports marketing and sponsorship company was created to cater to the needs of a special group of athletes. pilot /ˈpʌɪlət / noun : a person who operates the controls of an aircraft, boat or car; to guide or steer. From the Vendee Globe to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the men and women behind the wheel have the tile of Pilote. The Pilot apparel brand was born out of a nostalgic sense of style mixed with the modern world of technology and a dash of wanderlust. Think effortless cool combined with confident swagger. You don’t have to be into yacht racing or motorsport or planes, but it helps. Most of us are Generation X – some say the forgotten generation. It defines much of our aesthetic and our mind-set. It’s eclectic and it doesn’t make much sense – but here, on our blog we will fill in some of the blanks. That’s the thing. the object. the concept. But who are we? Pilote was created by David Fuller, an Australian traveller and entrepreneur.
