Team Raftaar

Team Raftaar is a team of undergraduate students of Delhi Technological University who share a common vision, i.e., to engrain the dynamic concept of Hybrid Vehicles in our day-to-day lives and thus, promote sustainable modes of transportation for a better world ahead. We design a fully Carbon Fibre faired recumbent bicycle to achieve speeds in excess of 80 kmph. The team consists of four departments: 1. Mechanical: Our mechanical engineers are the backbone of our team, employing precision and creativity to design ergonomic and high-performance recumbent bike structures, meticulously crafted for optimal functionality and comfort. 2. Electrical: The electrical team elevates our bikes to the next level with state-of-the-art electronic systems. From energy-efficient powertrains to smart connectivity features. 3. Software: Our software engineers bring intelligence to motion, developing cutting-edge algorithms and software solutions that enhance the overall biking experience. 4. Corporate: Behind the scenes, our dedicated corporate team orchestrates the smooth functioning of operations. From strategic planning to resource management, they ensure that our vision is translated into reality. Key Achievements: • Secured 1st position in the design event of eHPVC at the ASME EFx India 2023. • Secured 2nd position in analysis, 6th position in Design event, and 6th position in Men Drag event at ASME E-fest, HPVC 2020 Asia-Pacific. • Secured 1st position in analysis and 5th in design in ASME E-Fest 2019 at VIT Vellore. • Winners of the innovation category at ASME E-Fest HPVC 2018 North America at Pennsylvania State University, USA. Also secured the 5th position in design. • Secured 1st position in men and women drag race and 3rd position in design at ASME HPVC Asia Pacific 2018. Also secured the overall runners-up position. • Overall winners of the ASME HPVC Asia Pacific 2015 and 2017. • Secured overall 12th position in ASME HPVC North America West 2016.
