Teatar 5 has been in existence since 2003, with its seat on the camera scene of the Fifth Belgrade Secondary School, which has been its patron and greatest support since its inception. For its first premiere, Teatar 5 performed the play Klošari, written by Suzana Bjelić, and directed by Zoran Rakić, theatre director and director, and Rastko Jevtović, professor of Serbian language and literature at the aforementioned gymnasium and the head of the drama section of this school. The said play had more than 30 performances. Teatar 5 continued its work with the play "Prison Blues", by Zoran Rakić, also the director of this piece. To date, Teatar 5 has had hundreds of performances on its home stage, as well as at festivals and performances around the country, including: "A Flea in Her Ear", "A Clockwork Orange", "Maratonci trče počasni krug", " Gospođa ministarka”, “Behind the Scenes”, “Balkan Express”, “The Dresser”,“ Three Penny Opera”, then “Zunzara”, “Pozorište u Palanci”, “Pokondirena tikva”, “Mariáš” and “Some Like It Hot". Teatar 5 is the recipient of numerous awards for directing, scenography, for collective and individual acting, but above all it is the recipient of the greatest award in theatre art, which is the confidence and love of its audience. Theater 5 also had the honor of collaborating with the Gananica Popovic Theater in Gracanica, Kosovo and Metohija, creating an unbreakable bond between the two ensembles after their mutual guest performances under the project "Let's Open the Curtain". In fact, the Truth has many names, including: Honesty, Joy, Vigilance, and Courage, but there are many more to list. However, you will easily recognize them, and that will be when Love awakens in you, lit by the spotlight of the camera scene. Theatre 5 consistently preserves these true human values and in a peculiar way, through the prism of theatre art, is a modest but notable herald of reality and the patron saint of love for theatre that is eternal.
