Dolo (Tea Time Labs)

Tea Time Labs makes Dolo, a free location-based message board app for socializing and discovering what’s happening right around you. When you create a post in Dolo, anyone using the app nearby will see your post, and can react and contribute to it. With Dolo, you can enjoy the joys of simple, serendipitous conversation, without being constrained by your existing social networks. We believe that place matters, and that people derive utility and delight from the energy right around them. With Dolo, we want to expand people’s natural yet limited ability to connect with their surroundings and tap into that energy. Curiosity in the here and now, for everyone—from the most active social instigators, to the quiet eavesdroppers. We are an early stage company, founded in November 2016, and based in San Francisco. We are backed by Floodgate and select angel investors. The three founders’ experience is quite eclectic, including several years in senior roles at Apple launching Apple Watch and Apple Pay, an Emmy nomination, and a Reddit Submitter of the Year award.
