Tech Buddies

Tech Buddies is a learning software that speech therapists, caretakers, and special needs centers can utilize to systematically help people with learning disabilities to better communicate needs and wants with their loved ones. People with intellectual and developmental disabilities have difficulty interacting with their loved ones due to communication challenges and a low technological proficiency. We want to provide these people with software that teaches basic technology and communication skills through typing and speech therapy exercises. The software is adaptable, using analytics to adjust the program, and customizable, creating a comfortable and attractive learning environment, rooted in positive reinforcement. We are currently working with a few local nonprofits and speech language pathologists to develop the software. At TechBuddies, we focus on providing each user with a tailored development plan to equip them with the tools to foster communication with others. These interactions are incredibly influential in upholding a basic tenet of humanity: inclusion.
