Tech Talent Welcome Council

The Tech Talent Welcome Council is a peer community of members from tech companies and supporting nonprofits with the shared interest of extending job opportunities in the Canadian tech sector to talented candidates who have been displaced by conflict and disaster. Refugees and other displaced people have historically been excluded from global work and mobility opportunities, despite their skill and potential. We choose to include these candidates in our recruitment, knowing our industry and communities are strengthened when international talent chooses to work with us. The Tech Talent Welcome Council is convened by TalentLift and chaired by a member of the tech community. It’s a space for peers to share their experiences locating talent within refugee and displaced populations, as well as learn from other members who are looking to do the same.
