My goal at Tech Tree Tutoring is to teach myself out of a job. I teach my students not only how to solve the problem at hand, but also how to develop the processes and thinking patterns that will allow them to tackle future problems for themselves. The highest compliment I can receive is for a student to tell me they no longer need my help because they have achieved self-sufficiency.
As a twelve-year veteran of the software development industry, I have seen what works and what does not work in real-world programming. My professional experience across companies big and small, new and established gives me valuable insights on how to write usable code, how to work in a software development team, and how to navigate the tech industry hiring process. I draw on this wealth of practical knowledge to prepare my students for successful careers in software engineering.
