Across the globe, technology is increasingly being harnessed ‘for good’ – to create new, positive social and environmental impact, and tackle injustice and inequality. With the invention of new devices or equipment, development of transformative software, adopting AI and machine learning, acting on insights from big data, and working to protect people and organisations from the proliferating cyber threat.
Tech4Good South West is an initiative to help more of this ‘for good’ happen. We convene and bring together tech businesses with the charitable and voluntary sector, and organisations from the public sector (including local government, education, health and the NHS) to share ways in which technology is needed – with others who have tech skills or resources to offer. We have a commitment to harness technology to transform societies, communities and lives.
Tech4Good South West is a network committed to tech for good and the power of digital innovation to bridge gaps and foster inclusion, ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities to connect, function and thrive in society. We convene and create the space for the community to collaborate, learn, and actively contribute to improving the welfare of our communities.
