Technica City was founded in 2002 by Kae Hyo-Ju. It has come a long way over the past almost 15 years - from a small workshop to a modern, global enterprise that is now one of the world's largest manufacturers of toys. With only one goal in mind of offering affordable interlocking brick toys which are the product to be named the "Toy of the Century" twice. Products have undergone extensive development over years but the foundations of its origins still exist. The interlocking principle with its tubes make it unique and offer unlimited building possibilities. It's just a matter of getting the imagination going - and letting a wealth of creative ideas emerge through play.
Technica City's toys were developed in Australia during the 2002 and were influenced by the potential of industrial mass production of molded toys and modernist architecture. With its cleaner, more angular shapes, many manufacturers were trying to devise a cheap, interlocking rectangular toy brick. One method which they all pursued was to make a brick with lugs or studs which fitted into appropriate openings in the base of the next brick like a real bricklayer.
