The Technopolis Group Belgium office opened up in 2004 and has consistently expanded in expertise with a growing team made up of more than 10 nationalities (able to converse in over 15 languages). Each team member brings specialisations in a variety of social or hard science disciplines, such as economics, environmental sciences, development studies and communications. We provide comparative policy research, policy design and evaluation and monitoring services to the European institutions, as well as regional, national and international organisations. Our Brussels-based consultants are thought leaders in the areas of: Green economy and eco-innovation Regional and national innovation performance and policy Clusters and business sector analysis Our staff has extensive experience in designing and managing policy and analytical benchmarking platforms including web-based databases and visualisation tools. We built and operated the first major European-wide policy monitoring platforms: the European Innovation TrendChart, ERAWATCH (European Research Area), METRIS (social science and humanities) and Eco-Innovation Observatory. We are also core partners of the European (and Regional) Innovation Union Scoreboard and European Service Innovation Centre initiatives. Our office is the go-to partner for innovation (smart specialisation) strategies. In recent years, we have provided support to national and regional authorities in Belgium, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Slovenia among others. The Brussels’ team is recognised for its evaluation and impact assessment practice and capacity to design and deliver complex, multi-country studies on the business and environmental impact of policies, legislation, programmes and research and technology organisations. While most of our work is carried out for European level clients, we also undertake evaluation studies for national and regional associations.
