A survey conducted by the World Economic Forum found that at the current rate of progress, it will take approximately 257 years to close the gender gap in economic participation and opportunity globally. There is a need to support and empower women in tech by providing them with resources, opportunities, and a supportive community to thrive. TechSister is a web application (currently in beta) that leverages Google Cloud products and MongoDB Atlas to build a platform specifically designed to support and empower women & LGBTQ+ in the technology field.
