TechSparks is a one stop shop for arabic entrepreneurial content, and lots of inspiration.
Techsparks is an online platform with the objective of Arabizing and bringing the best Entrepreneurial knowledge from all around the world to the Arab world. Content on the site ranges from interviews with distinguished individuals in the space like Steve Blank, Brad Feld, Sami Shalabi, and Mike Cassidy, to covering talks and events, to providing Arabic summaries of top business books.
Techsparks main audience is the entrepreneurial community in the Arab world. The idea is to inspire entrepreneurs from the Arab region and give them pointers on how to make it big. Currently, the interviews are done in an informal setting, where the host meets the guests in their offices or public places. It is also done via Skype in case the guest cannot be interviewed face to face. The interviews are currently being published on www.techsparks.tv in addition to our YouTube channel. All the videos are either in Arabic or have Arabic subtitles for maximum benefit to the Arabic entrepreneurs. A new twist to the show is to allow the audience to cast questions via recorded videos, recorded voice clips, and text messages, which the host will pose to the guest during the interview. Once curated, the video will play the recorded video message and the answer. Alternatively, the question can be sent via email or through the site directly and will be noted in the interview.
