FLYWELL® Flying Health Program for Aviation

Aviation wellness resilience so passengers and aviators fly healthier for longer. FlyWell™ (FW) is a digital Flying Health Program designed to combat Air Travel-related Venous Thromboembolism (ATVT), such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, as identified by the WHO Research Initiative on Global Hazards of Travel (WRIGHT) Project. Developed by clinicians, FW provides personalised risk assessments, educational tools, inflight physio-led movement exercise guides for the cabin, galley, and cockpit areas, and easy access to clinically proven anti-ATVT and compression technology's. It aligns with ESG, CSR and Sustainable Travel Commitments to support Elderly and Vulnerable customers to reduce the Global ATVT burden and aims to enhance travel health and wellness, reduce ATVT risks by over 50%, and improve access to prevention solutions for passengers and crew—especially critical on ultra-long-haul flights. WRIGHT phase 2 aims to have passengers & aviators adequately informed about their personal ATVT risk and that they are provided with optimal prevention solutions. Submitted to the 2023 NHS CEP Entrepreneur Program, FW addresses a global health concern linked to approximately 30,000 annual patient admissions to our NHS, 150,000 ATVT cases and 7,500 deaths annually worldwide due to long-haul flights. Long-haul ATVT commonly presents within the first 2 weeks after landing. FW helps users prevent these risks, allowing them to resume their leisure or corporate activities, which is especially important in remote locations where medical resources are scarce. FW is the standardised solution.
