TEDxSSU is an independently organized event licensed from TED.
The mission of TEDxSSU, similar to TED, is to propagate Ideas Worth Spreading and to inform and inspire. Specifically, TEDxSSU envisions becoming the leading platform and pipeline in North West Nigeria for the dissemination of great ideas, storytelling, creativity, and actionable innovation, originating from Sokoto State University and the environs to the rest of the world. TEDxSSU aims to foster a sense of community among individuals and organizations associated with the event, while also providing a cultural focal point for meaningful conversations and debates.
Having lived over fifteen years in the state, been a part of various youth development platforms, and has engaged with development stakeholders ranging from government and non-governmental organizations. My vision is to bring transformation by awakening African youths, increasing our capacity to take responsibility for the state of the continent, and providing solutions that would be relevant globally.
My inspiration is a platform that would bring together people from different faculty, academics, non-academic, students, lecturers, and the community to learn, share ideas and be inspired towards positive change and increase the pace of development in the university and her environs.
