The American University in Cairo (AUC) is a diverse community, full of inspiring ideas, success stories, achievements, and endless opportunities shaping the whole Arab region. As we believe in the grand history of AUC and its contribution to the intellectual growth of Egypt’s leaders, it is urging to create a platform that unleash the AUC community’s potentials and provides its community members with opportunities to spread their ideas, plans and success stories; this is the mission of TEDxAUC. TEDxAUC's vision is to connect the AUC community’s inspiring ideas through authentic dialogue. We work on unleashing and exploring the AUC community’s potentials through spreading the ideas, success stories, and achievements of its community members to the whole world. TEDxAUC's target audience includes every single member of the AUC community including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. TED is a global foundation devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Since then, its scope has become ever broader. With its two annual conferences, video website: TED.com, initiatives and community projects. TED is now a platform and a global movement focused on meaningful change through the power of ideas.
