TEDxGlasgow

TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organisations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis. We aim for TEDxGlasgow to showcase the very best, and most current, ideas generated in Scotland and more specifically Glasgow, to a global and enlightened audience, in the hopes of bringing about systematic change. We do this by bringing together amazing people who have influence, power and the ability to bring about this change in the fields they work in. We can use the TEDx platform to access knowledge and shared learning, projecting forward the best in Scottish innovation and advancements. We have already succeeded in drawing the attention of the global TED community, having secured over four million views for a single previous speaker – Gary Wilson.
