TEDxMyrtle Beach

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.) We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. Our community will build a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the region’s most inspired thinkers — and a consortium of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TEDx events all year long. The TEDx program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. We use the TED format to build a connected community of learners and change-agents in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our mission is to create an inclusive and diverse community of thought leaders.
