Tego, a Devout Technology inc. product, is an iOS and Android app. Traveling alone is unsafe and texting loved ones when you arrive at your destination is tedious, easy to forget, and useless if someone goes missing. Tego allows users to state where they are going and estimates how long the trip should take. Users also have the opportunity to select contacts to watch over them as they travel. When a user arrives safely to their destination, their contacts are informed; but if they do not arrive safely to their location or are taking too long, their contacts are notified that the user may be in trouble. This allows the contacts to try to reach out to the user, or escalate matter to the authorities. Tego also provides an emergency SOS button, which allows users to report when they are not feeling safe along their trip. When this button is activated, the phone will record video of the user. This way if there was an emergency, the police can get live footage. Tego protects users while providing peace of mind to their contacts.
