Owned by Telstra Australia, TelstraClear grew in reputation and capability between 2001 and 2012 to become a leading supplier of telecommunications solutions to New Zealand businesses and consumers alike. The company offered a broad range of services from residential phone, internet and cable TV, to enterprise wide telecommunications solutions for business and government. The company was also major supplier to national and international carriers via its TelstraClear Wholesale business unit. In October 2012 Vodafone acquired TelstraClear, merging its own formidable global mobile pedigree with extensive fixed line and related services capabilities.
