The city’s legacy of wool and flax, weaving, tailoring and commerce is he inspiration for ceg’s place-making. Building on what exists, ceg will use the urban grain to weave a new urban fabric for this part of Leeds city centre, opening up connections and drawing people in. Transformed into a place to live, work, eat, drink, shop, meet, learn and relax, this will be a mixed-use development of up to 1.12m sq ft of offices, retail, leisure, hotel, health, education and community uses, as well as parking, public spaces and landscaping, and up to 750 new homes. This place will be vibrant and exciting, with a clear sense of its own identity and character. It will be a magnet for the pioneers and forward-thinking businesses, whose drive and character will spark the continued growth of the city. And with john marshall’s famous edifice at its heart, this place will become known as temple.
