The main objective of Tennessee Gas Processing (TGP) is to engage locally to provide a economically feasible clean burning fuel source to local consumers. Our secondary goal is to partner with local oil recovery companies to enhance produce from their oil wells.
A strategic partnership with Citizen Gas Utility District (CGUD), TGP provides conditioning to raw natural gas to acceptable BTU levels for delivery to their customers. TGP enables CGUD to provide its customers with the locally sourced natural gas at prices better than from external pipelines.
In the process of conditioning the natural gas, the byproducts known as "natural gas liquids" (NGLs) are produced. TGP specializes in the cryogenic expansion process to produce NGLs. These NGLs are sold separately and have a variety of different uses; including enhancing oil recovery in oil wells, providing raw materials for oil refineries or petrochemical plants, and as sources of energy.
