TEREEE, the Technical Education for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Project, is a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing technical education in Egypt.
Funded by KFW - German Development Bank and co-funded by the European Union, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Technical Education (MoETE), this project, implemented by GOPA Infra, has set out to improve education quality and employment opportunities for young adults in Egypt.
Over its duration from March 2022 to March 2026, TEREEE is achieving its mission by establishing Centres of Competence in Menia, Aswan, and Sharqiya.
Modernizing Technical Secondary Schools with solar energy systems, emphasizing practical, labor market-relevant vocational training.
Focusing on a 3+2 model for seamless educational progression, digitized learning contents, and private sector participation.
By focusing on these initiatives, TEREEE is not only transforming technical education but also supporting Egypt's sustainable development and energy transition goals.
