We're passionate about mushrooms! Our passion for the outdoors combined with an obsession for gourmet cuisine resulted in creating Terrafunga; a farm dedicated to growing the highest quality exotic mushrooms using organic practices while minimizing our impact on the environment. We are currently growing four varieties of mushrooms: Blue Oyster, Maitake, Shiitake and Lion's Mane and harvest wild mushrooms native to Vermont including Morels, Chanterelles, Maitake, Black trumpets, and Boletes. Terrafunga specializes in cultivating mushrooms on logs outdoors in much the same way that they grow naturally, by introducing spawn into matter that will eventually grow into mycelium that produces mushrooms. This form of sustainable agriculture, allows our mushrooms to develop the rich and earthy flavor food aficionados have become so fond of. Our mushrooms are sold fresh during the growing season or in dehydrated form year round. In addition we offer mushroom related products including foraging accessories from baskets to knives as well as kitchen accessories, distinctive housewares and unique apparel featuring our exclusive mushroom designs, Based in Southern Vermont, we are committed to supporting the local economy by offering products made in the area and in some cases neighboring New England states. Terrafunga is a member of the One Percent for the Planet family dedicated to preserving our planet by donating 1% of its annual gross sales to member non-profit groups. This dedicated organization believes that health and wellness comes from the environment, that businesses are responsible for positive change and that we can all leave our planet better than we found it.
