Teru

Teru was an artist collective of three photographers: Lesli Taihuttu, Jaïr Pattipeilohy and Atêf Sitanala. We captured - almost disappearing - tangible and intangible cultural heritage in the diaspora; untold stories of people through portraits and short documentaries; working with passion to tell stories what moves them; related to their personal heritage. Mahina - An ode women: A triptych consisted of facial portraits, theme portraits, and short documentaries. These tell the story of the past, present and most importantly the future of the Moluccan community as it relates to Dutch society. From 2016 to 2021 'Mahina - An ode to women' was seen at various locations throughout the Netherlands.
