Tesco Group is a Canadian based EPC firm that has been servicing its clients for the past 40 years and consists of the following business units: Tesco Electric, Tesco Industries, Tesco Manufacturing, and the latest addition, Tesco Automation. The Tesco Group of companies offer the design, construction and commissioning of protection, automation and controls systems, with a particular focus on IEC 61850 applications. Tesco’s offerings include turnkey substations, modular e-houses, and the fabrication of P&C panels; in addition to our professional IEC 61850 consultancy services that are part and parcel of our IEC 61850 University.com initiative. Tesco is unique in that we are one of a handful of Canadian companies to be active members in various Smart Grid and IEC 61850 related technical committees, including leadership roles such as the Canadian Chair to the IEC Smart Energy/Grid Systems Committee. Being a member of these IEC committees allows us to keep a finger on the pulse of technology advancements within the power system sector, which ensures we put forward accurate, consistent, and practical information pertaining to the Smart Grid and IEC 61850.
