Tesoro Gold Limited (ASX: TSO) is an Australian-listed gold exploration business that successfully discovered, and is rapidly advancing, the first identified district-scale Intrusive Related Gold System (IRGS) in Chile. Tesoro Gold is also listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE), under the ticker code FSE:5D7. The El Zorro Gold Project is located in the Coastal Cordillera region of Chile and hosts the flagship 1.5 Moz Ternera Deposit. El Zorro offers substantial further growth potential, both in terms of Ternera itself (which has a discrete Exploration Target of up to 3 Moz) as well as a range of compelling regional gold targets. Tesoro is currently driving this growth via its existing drilling activities at Ternera and across the broader El Zorro district. Being located at relatively low altitude, and only 15km from the Pan American Highway, El Zorro possesses huge natural development advantages. These include being within an established mining region that hosts multiple world-class gold operations. As a result, the region is also a large-scale mining services hub and home to an experienced minerals workforce. Tesoro is advancing the development opportunity at El Zorro through multiple technical workstreams focussed on mining, processing, infrastructure, and logistics. Tesoro is managed by experienced mining professionals with outstanding geological and finance backgrounds, as well as significant in-country expertise. This team has successfully guided the business from its inception through discovery, initial Mineral Resource declaration, Scoping Study completion, and ongoing growth drilling and technical evaluation activities. Global major gold producer, Gold Fields Ltd, holds a 19% interest in Tesoro, having made its initial strategic equity investment in November 2022.
