Tesoros de Dios, translated God’s Treasures, is a ministry in Managua, Nicaragua that started with two children receiving equine therapy and now serves over 110 children, with a variety of special needs, to assist them in reaching their full potential. Children and their families come from impoverished communities in Managua. In the capital alone, there is an estimate of more than 12,000 children with special needs and there are limited opportunities for them. Tesoros de Dios lovingly and joyfully serves these children and their families. Hired Nicaraguan staff offer physical therapy, early intervention, special education, and hippo (horse) therapy to grow and encourage children and their families.
