Textured Life is a one (wo)man band run out of a visually busy, yet functionally sound, creative little room in South Melbourne, Australia.
The driving force behind my endless creating is a joyful compulsion to make Things. Lovely Things. Things that help you reflect who YOU are, inside and out. I love a custom order. There’s nothing quite like translating your wish (no matter how vague) into a physical thing that you’ll love forever and ever.
While I definitely have a bent for repurposing items (vintage man-pants transformed into a scarf anyone? A silk pouch made from ties?) I also use new materials. Including leather; lots and lots of leather. Either way, each component of your Textured Life item is hand-selected, lovingly patted, cut, twisted, sewn and transformed by yours truly.
While we're on the topic of leather, you'll often find me digging (gently) through the 'one off' and offcuts pile at the leather supplier. They like it when I turn up; I just can't resist making the pile all neat and tidy as I go. But I digress. As such, you'll find each leather Textured Life product is different in some way; truly just yours.
