The purpose of the Tla-o-qui-aht Development Corporation is to engage in activities for the benefit of Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation. We aim to: - Develop, grow, and maintain a healthy and strong Tla-o-qui-aht economy that aligns with Nation values. - Contribute to the pride and well-being of the Nation. - Build sustainably viable businesses that generate wealth and create prosperity through economic opportunities (jobs, entrepreneurship). Tla-o-qui-aht Development Corporation owns and operates the following entities: - Tin-Wis Resort - Tsawaak RV Resort & Campground - Hithuiis Spirit Construction - TFN Seafoods - Micro Hydro Companies Tla-o-qui-aht Development Corporation works to develop strategies to recruit and retain people for TFN businesses, create and communicate positive community impacts, and generate capital from existing businesses as well as future capital opportunities. This is obtained through effective governance and business processes, collaborative business relationships, dedicated and dynamic leadership, and investment in both human capital and corporate assets.
