THAT is an active community development organization specialized in the development and training of individuals, groups and communities; our headquarters is in the Lebanese capital, Beirut; we are operating across all Lebanese governorates and regions (and we are expanding our regional activities in Syria and Iraq; with registration in process).
We are mainly concerned with the design and implementation of training programs, our methodology focuses on studying the developmental needs, designing training programs and workshops, creating administrative structures and helping in the construction of action plans, following-up and evaluating the implementation processes; leading to the qualitative empowerment of expertise and professional skills.
THAT works with actors and figures, from civic institutions, official bodies, international and local organizations, public initiatives, leaders, teams, and individuals interested in building their capacities.
Over the past years, we have implemented participatory projects with international and local actors (UNICEF, Nawaya, Lebanese American University LAU, Deutsche Welle, Secours Islamique France (SIF), Legal Action Worldwide, Adyan, Educational and Cultural Institutions, Municipalities, Hospitals, Humanitarian Organizations, ...). Our project varied from media, advocacy, leadership and other capacity building areas. We have as well, reached an important number of spectators through a very successful T.V. show (Workshop for 2 seasons) and several radio programs as well as our various initiatives in social media (Tayifa, mobile media, …) where we were able to reach an important number of youth and people from all walks of life.
Our mission is to provide individuals and institutions with an equal opportunity for training and development. We endeavor to build individual and institutional capacity and to contribute to the empowerment of individuals and communities.
Our vision is based on giving priority to training processes to invest in human capital and develop their performance, along with their moralistic and materialistic returns on objectives in official and private projects. Through our training and the media, we aim to make a difference in our community, promote and achieve the good of humanity by the values of pluralism, peace and social justice.
