I specialize in proofreading verbatim transcripts such as depositions, hearings, arbitrations, EUOs, trials/appeals, interpreted proceedings, and private meetings. ► WHO I PARTNER WITH I work with court reporters who have struggled to find a qualified, reliable transcript proofreader. I help you free up the time allocated to proofing. These reclaimed hours can mean more time with your family or friends, time for leisure or social activities, or even time to take on more paying jobs. ► HOW I WORK I prefer to proofread transcripts in PDF format, though I can accept .txt, ASCII, or .doc files. Clarity and consistency are top priorities. I have references on hand, but I adapt my annotations to fit your particular style. I carefully review your work, word by word, then e-mail the annotated pages back to you with all suggestions very clearly noted. You then submit a perfectly polished transcript and reluctantly accept heaps of praise, a 5-figure bonus check, and perhaps the Nobel Prize for Court Reporting. (Okay, that last bit might be slightly exaggerated.) ► ABOUT ME I’ve been a "grammar aficionado" (friends use a far more colorful term) for as long as I can remember and finally found a way to use my superpowers for good. I'm married, with two grown sons, two dogs, and four cats. I've worked 15 years in a health care, 9 years supporting folks with intellectual disabilities, 5 years in retail loss prevention, and a few years as a content marketing writer. I'm an ISTP, a High-S/c, a certified firefighter, and a tech geek. Also, you should know (and this may be a dealbreaker) I really don’t mind pineapple on pizza.
