Who are we? The Ageologist is a global interdisciplinary research platform and community for senior care and aging studies. Our goal is to exchange insights, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation in the silver economy. Founded by alumni across leading academic institutions, the community connects industry experts, researchers, practitioners, entrepreneurs and investors. The platform draws from the latest developments in fields of healthcare, social work, real estate, financial services, technology and public policy. Currently, there are industry groups covering aging tech, senior housing, aging finance, and geriatric care. The Ageologist has the following features: - Global: We explore the best practices and newest innovations around the world. - Interdisciplinary: We foster collaboration across industries and provide comprehensive perspectives. - Data-driven: We compile industry data from multiple sources and conduct detailed analysis. What are we doing? - Online community: Broad group chats, industry-focused groups, and research library - Online Webinar & Offline panel: Weekly webinars or panels, featuring industry experts in medicine, tech, real estate, or financial services, with follow-up discussions within the broader community - Book club: Interactive discussions of industry reports and books every week - Research: Applied research in industry trends, market landscapes, policy studies and stakeholder relations What are we planning? - Data project: Data analytics training, data visualization with open-source data in senior care, and hackathon - Site visits: Trips to assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and rehabilitation facilities, with follow-up discussions and brainstorming sessions
