We are the GCO lab (Green Chemistry and Organocatalysis lab), a Brazilian research group that designs, synthesizes, and applies organochalcogen catalysts to enable organic reactions.
Our research aims at the strategic application of organic chemistry to make valuable compounds, reducing the production of side products and waste.
Moreover, joining efforts with other research groups, we develop compounds with biological applications in various contexts.
Our activities are centered on the study of organochalcogen compounds, mainly selenium and tellurium.
