The Amity Program

The Amity Program facilitates intergenerational interaction, which is beneficial to both senior citizens and student participants. The Amity Program has three branches. The first branch (Art Box) provides art supplies to senior citizens who have trouble interacting with others but still want to engage in fulfilling activities. The second branch (Card Making) sends homemade cards to seniors on special holidays, events, or celebrations. The third branch (Books, Board games, and Bonding) organizes cohorts of students to visit local senior homes every week. Our programs increase intergenerational interaction and subsequently reduce senior isolation.
