Our hero product, The Basic Band is The Original Tuck Band. It is a super-comfortable and seamless band that sits under your clothing to crop, layer and re-shape your clothes. Just tuck, secure and go! Designed to help you make the most out of the clothes already hanging in your wardrobe.
The Basic Band began as a solution to temporarily alter garments without the need to ruin them. Founded in 2020 by Danielle Smyrneos and Nicole Costa - two friends who were living together during Covid. The pair were excited by the thought of raiding each others wardrobes but most of the clothing items needed slight alterations to fit them both.
After many attempts at tucking, tying, pinning, and even accidentally destroying an item they quickly realised that sharing clothing wasn’t what they thought it would be - until the idea of The Basic Band came along. A single item that would allow garments to be temporarily altered to fit and be styled to suit each individual.
Our mission at The Basic Band is simple: To provide you with accessories that help you get the most out of your clothes. We believe getting dressed should be fun and our tools are here to transform your styling game!
We want women to get creative when getting dressed and to feel confident when they step outside the house.
