The Bitter Alibi

Locally owned restaurant and bar located in Chattanooga, Tennessee! Open 7 days a week. Brunch starting at 9 am on the weekends. In April of 2014, Jason Bowers and Matt Skudlarek had a few pints at one of their go-to pubs in town, Hair of the Dog. What started as a dream over a beer, became one of the local’s favorite spots: The Bitter Alibi located off M. L. King Blvd. in Chattanooga, TN. Jason and Matt didn’t waste any time getting the old, broken building on Houston St. up to code and the standards they wanted their guests to experience. Eighteen months after opening, they took over the top floor with a separate brand and name: The FIX Lounge. The FIX brought craft cocktails on scene and an island/tiki vibe to the building. Although a very different vibe that the other floors, the FIX was a welcomed addition to guests who wanted something other than American Craft Beer. Fast forward to today, Jason Bowers and his team are working hard every day to connect with their neighborhood, grow their network, and continue putting out inventive food and interesting drinks to the Chattanooga people.
