The BMTA Trust

We’re a small charity with a big heart — and a clear mission: to support the existing and next generation of talent in the motor industry. The BMTA Trust provides targeted financial grants to learners facing personal or financial barriers that could prevent them from completing their training or progressing in their career. We work in partnership with training providers, colleges, and employers to help apprentices and adult learners access the support they need to stay on track. Grants can help cover essential costs such as tools, travel, training fees or equipment. While most awards are capped at £1,000, each application is assessed on a case-by-case basis. Who we support: 🔧 Apprentices and young learners in motor industry education and training 🔁 Adult learners who are retraining, returning to the sector, or upskilling 🤝 Employers, training providers, and colleges looking to remove barriers for their learners We also work closely with Ben – the Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund to ensure individuals get the right support, even if their needs fall outside our remit.
