Journalism has never been in a more fraught state. Finding quality, thoughtful articles amidst the drudgery of reactionary content pervading our society has never been harder. The Bristorian has been set up as a small antidote to that trend, and we hope that our student-led publication engages those with a passion for digging deeper. To that end, we fundamentally believe that history is essential to contextualising our world. All of our articles retain that historical framework, yet are enriched through fusing the wider humanities into our endeavours. Our aim is to provide varied, insightful, and historically orientated pieces that relate the past to current affairs through the medium of book reviews, investigations and even obituaries. As well as this, we aim to act as a resource and support network for current and prospective humanities students.
