The Broad Online

The Broad is a new student project that gives students a space to speak. In November 2017, students at the University of Edinburgh launched thebroadonline.com. Unlike other publications The Broad has no editorial agenda other than publishing the broadest possible range of student opinions on the largest number of political topics. By making it accessible for students to write and have published their op-ed articles The Broad offers its readers wide ranging discussions on topics such as Gender, Brexit, Animal Rights and Tuition Fees. In a political environment that has become increasingly polarised The Broad provides a bridge that brings together the ideas of young people in one place. We have created this arena in which ideas can clash, develop and change in order to form a place where the best ideas can rise to the top and the ideas of our shared future can be fostered.
