The Bromeliad Foundation is a non-profit organization with a focus on poverty alleviation, and more specifically extreme poverty. Our vision statement is:
"To help sustainably end extreme poverty worldwide through resource redistribution using a research based model".
Our research based model was developed by our founder and is inspired by the bromeliad plant. The model and the plant share many special qualities that can be summarized in the acronym "RESEARCH":

It is a collaborative model that focuses on a ground up approach to help communities become self-sustainable. Its primary aim is to prevent mortality caused by extreme poverty by supporting the establishment of food autonomy through regenerative agriculture, implement permanent clean drinking water and sanitation solutions, provide proper food storage techniques and equipment and support the availability of life saving medicines.
In addition, the anticipated global cost based in this model is 1/6th that of global estimates for ending extreme poverty.
